HND Float System
A Guide for the Perfect Float
The HND Float System is a complete, step-by-step approach to keeping your dry flies floating higher and longer. Each step works together to improve line performance, waterproof your fly, add buoyancy, and quickly revive flies so you spend more time fishing and less time drying flies.

Step 1: Dress Your Fly Line
Fly Line Dressing improves the slickness of new or used fly lines while cleaning away debris. It reduces friction, enhances glide through any size guide, and helps deliver smoother, more accurate casts.
Step 2: Treat Your Tippets & Leaders
Paste Floatant waterproofs leaders and tippets, enhancing buoyancy and creating a continuous water barrier from your dry fly to the fly line. It keeps nylon leaders and tippet from sinking, helping your entire setup ride high.
- Apply to your fly line to boost flotation and easier mending.
- When dry fly fishing, apply a thin film to the entire leader and tippet.
- When nymph fishing, apply to the butt section of the leader above the indicator.
Step 3: Waterproofing
Liquid Floatant, Liquid Spray, Gel Floatant, and Floatant Pretreatment allow the fly to be completely covered with a barrier that keeps water out.
These products work well on flies tied with all types of materials, including cul de canard (CDC), and are effective for floating large stimulators and hoppers tied with foam.

Step 4: Add Buoyancy
Powdered Floatant with Applicator Brush delivers a very fine and even coating of water-repelling particles to your dry fly. The coating is so fine it is almost invisible.
This floatant traps air and improves buoyancy to help your dry flies ride higher and float longer.
Step 5: Reviving a Soaked or Slimed Dry Fly
Powdered Floatant & Desiccant is used to quickly dry your slimed fly and get you back on the water fast.
This product uses a combination of water-loving crystals and water-repelling powdered floatant to remove moisture and restore buoyancy.
